A Simple Path to a Strong Immune SystemTips on Achieving and Maintaining an Ideal pH for Lasting Health
The three areas of daily living required to have a balanced pH for better health are: (1) Emotional and spiritual disposition, (2) proper diet, and (3) pH monitoring.
Simple pH readings done by yourself can be your guide to good health. It may take a serious, steady lifestyle change to affect those three areas just mentioned. Initially sacrificing poor food choices and negative emotions leads to a state of Health and being where what was sacrificed is no longer a sacrifice. Emotional/Spiritual DispositionIt is well known that negative emotions have a negative impact on health and the immune system. There are many who pretend to be positive and above it all. But it is better to “thine own self be true” as Hamlet was advised in Shakespeare's play. Being aware of your inner thoughts and emotions is the key here. Denial won't do it. Aware acceptance will. Meditation, yoga, and enjoying oneself without over indulging in sense pleasures goes a long way in keeping one out of negative emotions. So does getting enough rest and sleep. Contentment and equanimity help the immune system function better. Dietary ChangesIt is imperative that processed foods, fast foods, and even most packaged foods be eliminated as fast as possible. Bleached white flour is contaminated from the bleaching process and has little or no nutritional value. Sugar has the same issues. Artificial sweeteners that contain aspartame and taste enhancers, such as MSG are very toxic. Those additives contain excitotoxins, which destroy brain cells. Most meats contain toxins from what is fed or injected into cattle or swine. Only certified organic meats are free from those toxins. Refined table salt, which is processed, is toxic due to that processing. It is also higher in sodium and without the minerals of unprocessed organic salt. Alcohol and excessive caffeine takes has a negative influence on one's immune system as well. Besides containing toxins and lacking nutrition, all of these foods and consumable non-foods tend to make the blood acidic. A diet toward alkaline production is necessary to create and maintain a proper pH of 7.3 or so. For more information on what this means, there is another article for you that explains with more detail and also contains a link to most foods and their acid or alkaline ratings. Go here. The pH Reading as a GuidelineThere are various machines available, mostly on the internet, which treat water up to an 11.5 pH. Drinking this daily will certainly help you get to that 7.35 level more quickly. The high alkaline pH water these machines create is also known as Kangen Water. But these machines are costly. If you can afford one, go for it. If not, don't let that discourage you from going on and getting your pH to a good level. The proper attitude and diet will get you there. Perhaps not as fast, but with your changes of attitude and diet, more permanently. Why? Because you will have created permanent life style changes through your long term efforts. The pH strips, tape, or sticks that can be used to measure pH are available at some health food stores and on line. Either urine or saliva is tested with these simple, inexpensive devices to get pH reads. There is a more expensive machine available on line, if you prefer. A pH of 6 and higher is common among healthy humans. Below 6 is leaning toward sickliness, even disease. Good attitude and diet while monitoring the pH readings regularly and adjusting accordingly is a simple, stable path to good health. Consider the bodily fluids as a field. Pathogens, germs, bacteria, and viruses cannot thrive in a bodily fluid field that has a pH reading between 7 and 7.5.
