Increase bowel health by performing a cleansing to remove impacted waste.

Cleansing the bowel is helpful for removing toxins that may accumulate due to chemicals in your foods, pollutants or medications. The accumulation of waste in the bowel can cause symptoms of fatigue, and lead to constipation and decreased bowel functioning.

Dietary Recommendations

A week prior to beginning a bowel cleansing program, attempt to limit processed foods and foods that contain hydrogenated oil or saturated fat. Most of your food sources should come from lean meats, fresh vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.

Fasting

Begin a bowel cleansing program by performing a fast for a day or more to eliminate any immediate waste that may have accumulated over the past week. Drink at least 64 ounces of water with lemon to encourage the bowel to dispense fecal material. You might also take a colon or bowel cleansing supplement during the fast to aid in further elimination. Fast for up to 3 days to help remove fecal material and toxic accumulation.

Juices

Add vegetable juice to your diet to increase fiber and aid digestion. Juice vegetables such as celery, carrots, broccoli and cabbage to create a healthful bowel cleansing drink. Alternate a vegetable drink with a fruit drink that contains the juice from apples, grapes, watermelon and lemon. If you do not have a juicer, purchase fruit and vegetable juices that contain no preservatives and use as recommended. Drink a glass of juice up to 8 times daily. Continue to consume water and lemon throughout the day. Follow this procedure for up to 3 days.

Raw Vegetables

Begin eating whole raw vegetables, fruits, whole grains, psyllium seed, and flaxseed to increase bowel cleansing. Eat salads that include cucumbers, onions, bean sprouts, carrots and celery. Continue to drink fruit and vegetable juice as well as water with lemon to increase bowel elimination. Stay on this portion of the diet for up to one week.

Probiotics

Include probiotic foods in your diet to help increase healthy bacteria in the bowel. Probiotics can be found in yogurt and unfermented and fermented milk. You can purchase a probiotic supplement if you are lactose intolerant. Probiotics should be consumed along with raw fruits and vegetables to supplement the bowel cleansing procedure.

Gradually add foods you might normally eat back into your diet after you complete the raw vegetable portion of the bowel cleansing diet. Avoid processed foods, saturated fats and hydrogenated oils to keep the bowel clean and free of impacted material. Follow a Healthy Diet Plan to avoid fecal buildup, and perform the bowel cleansing procedure every few months to keep the bowel clean.

This looks like a healthy and balanced way to cleanse the bowels. I lik raw baby spinach for natural cleansing, and I agree that probiotics are VERY important during this process to help re-balance the digestive flora. Supplements often contain more probiotic strains than probiotic foods do - my pick is Flora Source Multi-Probiotic with 16 probiotic strains.
Great advice!
