Have you noticed the changes at your supermarket? I sure have!

Despite the United States government not really understanding environmental issues one thing is for sure the American public is voting with their dollars.

I ran across an article (click on link above) that completely confirms what many of us suspect. The government is out of step with its people but we have figured out that we can change things by just living our lives with integrity . They are bound to get the picture eventually, right? Well maybe not but we the people can still make a huge difference. There is plenty of hope.

If you do not believe me check out the list of farmers markets in you area. There are more farmers markets now than ever before. Look at the vast selection of organic produce in the produce section of your grocery store. We never had so much good organic produce available in regular grocery stores.

If you are wondering why farmers markets are so great. They are great for many reasons.

  • They support the local economy.
  • The money goes straight to the farmer usually.
  • Saves energy in transporting the food from out of the area
  • We get healthier food
  • We make friends with people in our community that are making a real difference!
  • They actually make shopping for fruits and vegetables fun!

The world is changing and it is changing for the better. At least in some ways. Our bodies are thanking us now too. Imagine what our dollars could do if we used them to vote for and against other things too!
