Our ignorance and arrogance might be the death of us!

Recent discussions about the honey bee prompted my search on google to learn more about this topic.

Sadly, we are still not sure why this is happening. Honey is not all we will lose if the honey be goes extinct.

The article below is about the fruits and vegetables that will possibly be lost due to the extinction of the honey bee.

The other night, I was on my front porch and noticed a honey bee buzzing around my porch light. I realized that he was obviously lost and confused. He wasn't going back to the hive. He wouldn't have been out that late clinging to life by my porch light if he knew his way home.

It is interesting that when you educate yourself and observe the world around you, you can see the effects. You can see the world change right before your eyes.

I am happy to see that people are taking the environment more seriously but, we really need to step it up and demand even more from our government and corporations.

As a nutritionist and student, I have passion for food and the environment. I think that the two go hand in hand. The healthier your diet, the better it is for the environment. Anyway, what does it matter if your healthy if you home is collapsing? How can you be healthy if you can not breath the air?

Next week, I hope to see you all at the local farmers market! Not just because you just want to take care of your self- but because you realize your part in saving the planet.
